Scotch Whisky Action Fund - Update & Impact Report 2017

31 May 2017

Foreword

The launch of the Scotch Whisky Action Fund (SWAF) has been a significant development for the Scotch Whisky Association in its work to promote responsible alcohol consumption and tackle alcohol-related harm in Scotland.

It is a five year commitment with the aim of supporting innovative projects to tackle alcohol-related harm and support capacity building for projects which are showing emerging and successful practice.

As a trade body, operating a fund is outwith our core business. We are very grateful for the support and services of Foundation Scotland, who manage the fund on our behalf.

We are publishing this report following the third round of awards announced in September 2016. It is still early days but we hope the report gives a flavour of the types of projects and interventions we are proud to have been supporting.

A description of each of the projects is given under our three themes: Young
people (aged under18), families and communities. For those projects that have completed their work we have incorporated the key outcomes achieved. As we receive the final evaluation reports from each of the individual projects we will update this report.
