Administrative Officer (maternity cover)

Location:            Hybrid working – home and in SWA offices (Edinburgh)

Contract:            Temporary contract to cover maternity leave – 35 hours over 5 days per week (opportunity to discuss 4 day working week)

Salary:                circa £19500 per annum (FTE)

Benefits package: 25 days holiday (pro rata), generous group personal pension plan

About the role

This is a maternity leave contract which we expect to last for 12 months. You will join the Corporate Services team which provides administrative support across the business, as an Administrative Officer.  You will provide support for the Industry Team assisting in delivering the Webinar programme, putting reports, news items and meeting papers on the members’ website, preparing surveys and collating data, and arranging meetings and other fixtures for the team.  You will also provide administrative support for the Legal Team.

We are looking for someone who has strong expertise in using Microsoft Office 365, who can work effectively independently and flexibly, an energetic person with a variety of skills who is keen to getting involved in different tasks to help the team deliver for Scotch Whisky.

Your experience and skills:

  • Expertise and confidence with using Microsoft Office365 applications, including Teams, is essential.
  • Administrative experience working remotely and in an office is essential.
  • Audio typing skills are essential.
  • Good organisational and event management skills – virtual and in person
  • Comfortable dealing with external contacts in a professional manner (including Government officials, SWA members and other stakeholders).
  • Energetic and enthusiastic, an ability to work flexibly in a collaborative manner, across different teams and locations.
